DDS format

Nov 5, 2013 at 2:19 PM
Hi,

is it possible to save an dds file with different compression ({dxt1, dxt5, none})?

I can't find informations about the compression or the mipmaps.

You can find information about the available options here: http://imagemagick.org/script/formats.php. Scroll down till you find DDS. -define is the same as the SetOption method of MagickImage:
using (MagickImage image = new MagickImage("input.png"))
{
  image.SetOption(MagickFormat.Dds, "compression", "dxt1");
  image.Write("output.dds");
}

I should probably rename the SetOption method to SetDefine to avoid confusion in the future.

Yes, think this would be a great idea.
Maybe you can add an example to the documentation.

Okay, I will make the change and add a new page to the documentation that contains the example above.

Edit:
You can find the page here: https://magick.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=Command%20line%20option%20-define&referringTitle=Documentation.
